Over the many years the Witchcliffe Ecovillage has been in development, we’ve enjoyed the prolonged interest, support and admiration of many leading professionals in the property industry for the unique vision, expertise and tenacity required to deliver this world-leading sustainable project. But the most gratifying and humbling praise comes from our future residents for whom we’re facilitating the creation of a beautiful new community. Because that’s what this project is really all about.

Professor of Sustainability, Peter Newman AO

In noting the Witchcliffe Ecovillage’s unique ability to achieve both the Paris Agreement and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Professor Newman said:

“I don’t know any of any other development in the world that can claim to achieve energy, water and food self-sufficiency all on one site as well as being a place for real community.”

Peter Newman AO, Distinguished Professor of Sustainability at the Curtin University Sustainability Policy Institute

“I just wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude to you all for all the effort that has gone in to getting WEV to where it is today. I had been looking at the project from a distance wistfully not thinking I was in a position to participate in it… It is clear at this point that I will! I have the most profound sense that it will be a bright new start for Jo, my children and myself once we are there and I cannot wait to be a member of the community alongside you all and be a part of something that promises to return the warmth of village to modern life.”

Although I will most likely be penniless once I am in there, I have the most profound sense that it will be a bright new start for Jo, my children and myself once we are there and I cannot wait to be a member of the community along side you all and be a part of something that promises to return the warmth of village to modern life.
