Welcome to the Witchcliffe Ecovillage

The Witchcliffe Ecovillage is one of the world's most sustainable residential communities and it's right here in WA's magnificent South West. We have spent 12 years working to make this unique project the most sustainable, innovative and beautiful place where residents will live in a resilient and supportive community in harmony with the environment. We're thrilled you're interested in the Ecovillage and we're looking forward to sharing our passion for this visionary project with a detailed presentation and site tour.

We are located at 10437 Bussell Highway and our office is the last gravel driveway on the left as you head south out of Witchcliffe (past the service station on the right). Look for our signage on the front fence. Ample parking is available on the grassed area in front of the office.

The Ecovillage presentation will commence promptly at 10.00am so please arrive a little early to ensure you can check in and we can begin on time. Jo Thierfelder (Communications and Marketing Manager) and Michelle Sheridan (co-founder and Community Liaison Manager) will give the presentation and be available to answer your questions. It is a complex and unique project, which requires a fair amount of detailed explanation, so it usually runs for a little over an hour including an opportunity for Q&A at the end. Hence it’s not really suitable for young children needing supervision. We ask that you make alternative care arrangements for your little ones or be prepared to supervise them outside during the presentation to minimise disruption. No dogs please.  

Following the presentation, we will head off for the site tour, starting at Wolghine Avenue, the northern main entry road to the Ecovillage, where you can park just inside the site. We will take you on a guided walking tour throughout Stages 1-2 and the Village Square development area, and take in the expanse of the site, the beautiful dams and conservation zones. If it's raining, we may ask locals to come back another time and people from Perth to carpool for a guided tour by car. This can be confirmed closer to the date or on the day.

It is a mandatory safety requirement for all site tour attendees to wear closed in shoes (thongs or sandals are not permitted on site). Given that the event runs over lunch time, feel free to bring a snack and a water bottle with you but we will not be stopping for lunch.
