Given the location of the Witchcliffe Ecovillage within the world renowned Margaret River region (named Top Destination in Asia Pacific in 2019 by Lonely Planet), providing sustainable tourism accommodation has always been a crucial factor in our strategy.
We have provided a variety of tourist accommodation options to provide local employment and business opportunities, including:
- affordable backpackers accommodation located right on the Village Square
- residential homes that can also be used as holiday houses and short stay accommodation
- a dedicated strata cluster of 12 tourism cottages
Tourism businesses will be required to comply with Eco-tourism certification requirements to maintain Ecovillage sustainability standards and give visitors a taste of authentic Ecovillage life. As well as owner operators for these enterprises, the Ecovillage will require businesses, such as eco-cleaners and gardeners, to help service the Ecovillage short stay accommodation.
